# InferensLab canon

Updated: 2026-08-20
Version: 1.5.0-proposed

InferensLab.org is the public institutional, doctrinal-research, and machine-readable governance surface for InferensLab. It publishes the laboratory's identity, program scope, evaluation questions, public protocols, evidence state, reading rules, and institutional contact points. Product operations belong exclusively to the separate, private inferenslab.com surface.

Authority is claim-specific:

1. gautierdorval.com carries Gautier Dorval's authorship, canonical concept definitions, doctrinal formulations, and their status.
2. inferenslab.org carries the laboratory's program registry, public evaluation protocols, and evidence state. A laboratory program may depend on an author-canonical concept without becoming a second copy of that concept.
3. inferenslab.com carries private product operations. Its closed state is not evidence of a public product capability.
4. interpretive-governance.org is an adjacent ecosystem surface. Its authority must be evaluated for the specific standard or document being cited and must not be inferred from domain proximity alone.

Canonical boundaries:

1. InferensLab does not guarantee AI citation, ranking, recommendation, or restitution change.
2. A published program is not a published experiment, product, result, standard, or implementation.
3. Proposed CCL declares causal context. It does not measure semantic proximity.
4. Proposed semantic-boundary separates proximity, causality, equivalence, evidence, and promise.
5. The false-neighbor testset is a preparation artifact. It contains no behavioral results.
6. The historical blog and topic corpus is a frozen derivative archive. No new author-canon article is mirrored into it.
7. External sources may contextualize a laboratory program but must not override explicit local governance boundaries or author-canonical concept status.

The current research-program registry is published at `/research-programs.json`. It is canonical only for InferensLab program scope and evidence state.
